they bring here today. sandra: so apple has been on the way down, but netflix has been on the way up. a pretty nice recovery, also talking to them after the bell. nicole: up over 5% right now. the question is subscriber growth spend lots and lots solidifying content and viewers, but let's see what they come up with at 4:00. david: ibm seems to survive everything. i don't have enough fingers on my hand. they once again prove themselves up by 5% today really moving the whole market. sandra: this is a blue rally. all the dow points that we are seeing, it is a winning quarter and that really made the dow move up. sandra: by the way, david, google, today up more than $20, 5% on this trading session. that is certainly helping out the trading session. the s&p 500 looking to settle just below 1500. up a couple of points. the nasdaq very dependent on apple, right now up 10 points, the russell 2000 however moving the opposite direction finishing lower for the day. david: what happened to the russell 2000? oil falling from a four-month high in the day down about 1.5% at $95.23 per barrel. a lot

by saying that tech certainly stole the show today. sandra: and also in another positive note today, rimm shares seeing big gains, maybe taking advantage of apple's big decline below 500 today? nicole: right. you know, we left rimm out. that's a great one. also all the app developers, 15,000 app submissions over the weekend trying to get in on the new blackberry 10. we saw research in motion jumping today big-time, up about 10%. [closing bell ringing] david: we didn't have a chance to talk about netflix, but that's up again, triple digits today as we can hear the bells are ringing on wall street. look at the indexes, looks kind of flat, but individual stocks, that was the name of the game, whether we're talking about dell, whether we're talking about apple, we have both of those covered by the way with expert analysis on dell and apple. the dow jones industrial managing to squeak out a gain today. nasdaq though if you look at nasdaq, of course s&p was down just a tick, but you look at nasdaq, now it is down. it's down about a quarter of a percentage point, but it was down a lot more

is humongous. sandra: humongous drop there. from one tech giant to another giant microsoft. they're set to report in a few minutes. >> that is exciting waiting on microsoft. microsoft has been pretty flat going into the close. you can see it is in the wait and see mode for the quarterly report. david: let's talk about good news which is netflix, if you own netflix yesterday. sandy and were covering it. we couldn't believe the pop it had after-hours and exceeded that during the day trading. >> tissues for apple shareholders who are drying and need a cool cloth for the net flicks folks. david: extraordinary. 42%. >> completely beat the street. with hormel now. sandra smith at the cme tracking the weakness in the soft commodities. nicole petallides looking at a gusher in transocean, sandra, we begin with you. sandra: talk about food prices. unbelievable selloff in some commodities like sugar and coffee. coffee prices on the day down 2%, a commodity over the past year has lost 40%. it has just gone straight down. there is word out of brazil they have a major producer of coffee, you get rain, nigh nice crops ad more abundant supplies if prices go down. and the sugar prices, and other commodity suffering big losses over the past year down 21%. today saw the biggest drop amongst many commodity trading speed it is down the most in eight weeks. there is still sluggish local demand and also very abundant supply of sugar coming from its major producing region in which is brazil. lots of rain coming through for a lot of these foods pushing prices down, they continue to decline. back to you. liz: i'm counting out nine french fries. sandra: that is discipline. liz: until my daughter doesn't finish hers. all right, thank you very

the pits of the cme with sandra smith and today's trade. hey, sandra. >> until we see the conclusion of that fed meeting, oil prices only up a few pennies on the session they're continuing those gains to four-month highs. oil at $97.62 a barrel. what traders are watching down here not just the oil but all the energy complex is higher ahead of the fed. rbob gasoline up a couple percent on the session. natural gas prices bouncing back from a major selloff. heating oil is flat but there is a bid in the commodities market as a result of expectation that is the fed is expected to maintain its bond buying program. that devalues the dollar. the dollar hitting a 14 month low today. that pushes commodities higher. the precious metals complex is higher ahead of the fed. gold prices up. silver prices up. so that safe haven play is coming into play ahead of the fed right now. a lot of money is flowing into the commodities markets despite the fact that we continue to see some weakness in the stock market. certainly the money is looking for someplace to go, guys. it is looking at the co
